Tacolicious | 2023 Menu Design
In need of a new set of menus (brunch, drinks, & food), Tacolicious approached Kern to help design and print the set. With no true brand book or guidelines, I was able to create the menus with creative freedom, as long as the work was in line with the restaurant’s Mexican & vivacious theme. With this in mind, there were many challenges in creating the menus. Needing the menus in both English and Mandarin, there was a great deal of copy, as well as an abundance of food photography; thus the menus had a lot of copy fighting for the reader’s attention. In the end, we were able to deliver something with personality that can contribute to the brand’s growing identity.
Tacolicious被评选为2023年“上海最佳墨西哥餐厅”,已成为当地人的最爱,也是上海餐饮业的一个机构。由于需要一套新的菜单(早午餐、饮料和食物),Tacolicious联系了Kern,帮助设计和打印这套菜单。由于没有真正的品牌书籍或指导方针,我能够自由创作菜单,只要作品符合餐厅的墨西哥和活泼主题。考虑到这一点,在创建菜单时存在许多挑战。需要英文和中文的菜单,有大量的复印件,还有大量的美食摄影;因此,菜单上有很多文案在争夺读者的注意力。最终,我们能够提供一些有个性的东西,为品牌的发展做出贡献。
